Spanishtini

A condensed version of a Spanish Coffee perfect for an after dinner drink to be sipped in front of a roaring fire on a dreary winter evening.

Moisten the rim of a martini glass with an orange and rim the glass with superfine sugar.

In a cocktail shaker 1/2 full of ice add 2 oz Kahlua, 3/4 oz White Creme de Cacao, 3/4 oz Cointreau, and 2 1/2 oz chilled black coffee. Shake vigorously and let stand while you --

Pour 1/2 oz Bacardi 151 into the prepared martini glass. Light the rum on fire and swirl the glass to carmelize the sugar. Sprinkle cinnamon and nutmet over the flame for a fun, sparkly effect. Extinguish the flame and strain the ingredients of the cocktail shaker into the martini glass.

Top with cream and garnish with chocolate shavings, cinnamon and nutmeg.

Rolling Hills

30 cubic yards of crappy dirt and lawn gone; 15 cubic yards of blended soil (garden compost, sandy loam, chicken poop) piled about. Don't know why Mr. Delivery Guy dumped the stuff at the point furthest from the center of the hole, but 8 hours of shoveling and dumping later, at least we have a uniquely bumpy yard. Next stops: irrigation and concrete and yes, more dirt.
